As I understand it Glengall Road was the family home, but as three of the daughters married three brothers from the Eggleton family who lived at St.James Nursery, Hervey Road, Blackheath, London, SE3. Hugh was a frequent visitor to Blackheath where he died, presumably on a visit.
He worked as a Boilermaker Journeyman in 1863 and resided at 24 Grace Street, Glasgow. 4
He worked as a Boilermaker in 1871 and resided at 47 Upper Arundel St, Portsea, Portsmouth. 5
He worked as a Boilermaker in 1881 and resided at 11 Glengall Rd, Poplar. 6
He worked as a Boilermaker in 1891 and resided at 24 Glengall Road, Poplar. 7
He worked as a Boilermaker in 1901 and resided at 40 Glengall Road, Poplar. 8 Son William and family are next door with daughter Agnes and her husband Moses Hubert sharing the house - note that in 2007 the street had been renamed Glengall Grove. The map is from the Booth poverty maps series and shows the area in 1899 with Glengall Road in pink meaning "Fairly comfortable. Good ordinary earnings" (see William Hubert for other maps).
Hugh married Hannah Eaton, daughter of Edmund Eaton and Susannah Biggs, on 1 Jun 1863 in 18 Whitehall St, Glasgow.1 (Hannah Eaton was born Apr to Jun 1843 in Bucks 9 and was christened on 3 Sep 1843 in Woughton on the Green, Buckingham 10.)
