2 JP (researchng Cox) 2004, 101. GEORGE HENRY9 PEEL (FRANK8, SAMUEL7, JOSEPH6, ELIZABETH5 COX, WILLIAM4, HENRY3, HENRY2, HENRY1) was born 1891. He married DOROTHY ISABELLA HUDSTON April 3, 1919 in Beeston, Nottingham.

Notes for GEORGE HENRY PEEL: This is my "Uncle George" who married my mother's older sister. They lived next door to us for most of their (long) married life. He was a man of the highest character and I still see him as a role model and so does our oldest son (who named his first son "James George" in appreciation of him). I spent long hours listening to him talk of the old days in Beeston and of his own personal life philosophy. He spend all his working life in the cabinet shop at Ericssons (from age 13) and for the last 25 or so was their top craftsman. He was a tenor soloist of renown and in great demand for the Messiah, etc. They lost their only son (and only child) Harold, age 19 in 1940, with pneumonia, and after that George never sang again. I was just over one and I became, I guess, some sort of help and focus to alleviate their grief in some small way. At the time I did not fully understand why Aunt Dorothy would ask me to sing "You are my sunshine" and why she would cry.
